About Us
My name is Cheryl Fike, and I own Cheryl Fike & Associates, LLC / Compass Travel in Newnan, GA. I was born and raised in a bush Alaska town called King Salmon and moved to Atlanta in 1996 to attend Emory University where I met my husband of over 22 years, who is a Newnan native. I fell in love with Georgia and have been here ever since. We have raised 2 amazing daughters here – one a senior in Nursing School at the University of West Georgia and one a 7th grader at Evans Middle School who is a competitive company dancer for Star Dance Company. We absolutely love Newnan and are proud to be part of this community.
Our Story
In 2016, I was given the opportunity to turn my love for travel into a career. I am so thankful for the unwavering support and loyalty of my clients that have helped to turn my dream into a reality. In December of 2023, I was able to purchase the travel agency I was working for. Today, Compass Travel has 4 amazing agents dedicated to helping our clients build their dream vacations. At Compass Travel, we believe that travel should be about more than just visiting new places – it should be about creating memories that last a lifetime. We are dedicated to providing exceptional travel services tailored to each client’s needs.
Our Specialties
Compass Travel specializes in Disney Destinations, Universal, all cruise lines, all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, and some Europe – including guided group and private tours, river and ocean cruises. We are a Diamond Earmarked Agency with Disney, a U-Preferred agency with Universal, and a Diamond agency with Delta Vacations – the highest levels of recognition bestowed upon travel agencies by these companies. In addition, we are CLIA (Cruise Line International Association) and IATA (International Air Transport Association) certified and have completed the highest level of training that cruise lines offer to travel agencies.
